A remarkably successful re-deployment of PVC drain pipes. Playing with the acoustic properties of everyday industrial materials resulted in this design. An acoustic transmission line loudspeaker - or if you like, a funky acoustic sculpture.
While the construction is very basic the pipe has been tuned and matched to the driver using sophisticated mathematical modeling and extensive listening tests.
This particular model is free standing, 920mm high and is ideal for smaller rooms under 30 square meters. It works best positioned in corners or against a wall. The spatial acoustic imaging is outstanding due to the single small diameter Kevlar cone, approximating a point source.
It is ideal for small high end stereo systems, surround sound and multimedia applications.
Bends and joints can be used to make for unique wall mounted installations giving the same outstanding performance provided the overall pipe length and internal parameters are adhered to.
